Dr Ramsay is an excellent surgeon, from the moment I first met him I felt in safe hands. Dr Ramsay explained what my tests showed and explained what was wrong and how it needed to be treated. When i saw Dr Ramsay before my surgery he explained what he was going to do and what to expect afterwards, this made me feel carm and at ease. After surgery Dr Ramsay came and saw me everyday asking how I was doing and how I was feeling, just seeing Dr Ramsay and him telling me I was doing well made me feel better. It's been 6 weeks since surgery and my scar has healed really well, it's really neat and tidy. I would 100% recommend Dr Ramsay.

From the first consultation with Mr Ramsey, it was clear that he had a wealth of knowledge and experience. At no time did I doubt his judgement and felt very confident that he would do what was in my best interests. He explained all the possible options once scans and bloods had been taken, even arranging an MRI scan as the Initial CT wasn’t clear, concluding that a full hysterectomy including the removal of my appendix and an omental biopsy would be the best course of action. On the morning of the operation he spoke to me, explained what would happen and answered my list of questions. I went into the operation quite calm and felt safe in his hands. He visited me that evening and the following morning to check how I was, to confirm what would happen next. He’d also arranged an appointment with the endocrine clinic for an adrenal issue that had surfaced during the tests he done, but obviously wasn’t under gynaecology. I can’t praise or thank him enough for the care he afforded me from start to finish.

Outstanding! He informed me of all of my options and gave me recommendations on my first consultation. Very direct regarding my state of health and the implications of this type of surgery and what I needed to do to improve it post surgery. His reassuring attitude put me at ease during the pre operation consultation and assured me I would have the best of care. He was true to his word.

I have recently had a laparoscopic total hysterectomy under the care of Mr Ramsay. From the secretaries, nursing staff and doctors I have found them extremely helpful trying to fit my surgery in around my life and home circumstances. Mr Ramsay explained things well and took time to come and see me post surgery and prior to discharge. The Nursing Staff were lovely and I would have no hesitation in recommending Peterborough City Hospital and all the gynaecologists. Many thanks
